dont be scared. plenty of room on my bus for you.

please dont compare these 2. shockey is a bigger mental mess than bush.

    well of course hes not.

    fixed

great article on the saints last week in SI. says devery begins each practice with the wr coach
throwing a handkerchief to him since you have to catch it using your fingertips. a reminder how he should be catching a football.

and now hes become of the better hands guys on the team because he plays catch non-stop with basically anyone and everyone to condition himself.

also says brees stays late hours and works with every wr, even the unheralded guys on running the exact routes.

    keeps everyone involved.

this team is young, hungry and lacking ego minus the backup punt returner and te.

    good formula for success.

I read that too. Think about this for a sec....Brees puts up All-Pro numbers throwing to....a 7th round draft pick....an undrafted free agent....a guy who couldn't catch a cold for his first 3 seasons....a 1st rounder who got hurt in his first training camp and was immediately labeled "a bust"....a "malcontent" cast-off TE. Might as well throw in another undrafted FA, a 2-time waiver guy and a misplaced WR at running back. Every one of them is a testimonial to hard work and never quitting, and I'm of the belief that Brees deserves a huge share of the credit, because he is so willing to go the extra mile to help everyone on the team get better.

Unfortuntalay I see a lot of people thinking we can trade Bush for "Something". The answer is that if we can see that he is a mediocre player so can the other NFL teams. Bush has not, and will never live up to his #2 1st round player status. I feel we are better off without him. Let him go somewhere else, and tell everyone he can win the NFL MVP. NOT!

I'm still waiting for one of the Bush haters who think he's useless to present a trade scenario that any NFL team would even consider.

I'll take his "anybody could have scored it" "garbage" touchdown every week of the season.

Maybe we sould trade Brees? He did have a fumble that was returned for a TD and threw a pick when Devery was wide open...

What amazes me is how Reggie Bush still gets put out front as the face of the team - commercials, United Way stuff, etc. If he slept late and missed the team bus/airplane/whatever for EVERY game, would anybody really notice? I think not. So what keeps him in the forefront? The Heisman?

He's certainly not the only example. And I'm sure he does a lot for the community (actually I'm not sure, but I'm willing to believe).

I just don't think he is worth his salary or his roster spot.

who the hell thinks you could get anything for him. way past that point.

    cut bait.

the appeasers think he still has time to prove himself and be a dominant type player. so he is still able to get sponsors. hes a recognizable dude. you can also recognize him on the field backing up lance moore running toward a sideline near you.... or fumbling before he can get there.

seems like an ok dude, outside of the huge ego, huge wasted salary and taking millions at USC but denying it.

ya dont say. pierre thomas makes about 300k. who would you rather.

no. arent you one of the apologists saying what a vital 8 million dollar decoy he was for the saints to be successful?

c17driver24 simply realizes how ridiculous a notion that was. hes been much more a liability than asset in any area, hence hes enjoying this ride from the bench.

there isn't a team in the league that would offer anything below a 5th round pick and who'd take on that salary?

answer: maybe dan snyder but highly doubtful. obviously if bush ever gets traded he'd have to renegotiate his contract.

just throw him in the slot and continue to give him 3 or 4 carries a game on misdirection plays.

i'd give up reggie, meachem and a first rounder for percy harvin today but not a snowballs chance in hell minnesota would agree.

what percentage of tim tebows success was directly attributed to percy harvin?

ill have to burn my superman tshirt because im thinking its close to 50 percent.

he looks almost average without him.

I've been one of the most ardent "trade bush" supporters on this board but at this point in the season, I'm glad they didn't make a move. It seems like a mistake to move him right now when we are playing so well. Team chemistry can be delicate and who knows what it would do. I guess my approad right now is "no sudden movements"
