Horn, Deuce, Bush and Brees under contract thru 2011.

Makes me think of the Dallas Cowboys of the 90s. I think they won 3 SBs during that time (minor tidbit of info).

I think Horn will develop into a great possession receiver in the latter part of his career with Colston, Bush and Henderson getting most of the midrange to long passes. I think the Saints overpaid him but you can't measure intangibles like heart and leadership that he presents to this Saints team. Also, he was underpaid based on his performance in the first 4 seasons as a Saint, so that's typical of a team to compensate in this manner.

Henderson will be an interesting signing with his breakout season this year. He may be the odd man out if he garners too much money on the market. The Saints could always negotiate in the off season this year before he becomes a free agent at the end of 2007.

Makes you wonder if the Saints can bolster the defense very much with any big name signings or first round draft picks. Saints were $20.2 million under the salary cap of $102 million as of March 10. But this was before we signed Brees and Bush.

I wish I could find the current salary cap figure for the Saints after their free agent and draft signings for this season.
