if you see this guy you might want to stay away from him:

per TCU's SID, one of Gary Patterson's former TCU players will be at the TCU v LSU game, LB Daryl Washington for the Arizona Cardinals. he was a 2nd Round pick out of TCU in 2010, and was a Pro-Bowler and 2nd Team All-Pro last season.

he's been suspended for the first four games of the 2013 NFL season for violating the league's substance policy, and a month after that, he was arrested for two counts of aggravated assault and one count of criminal trespass. he broke his ex's collarbone in the assault. the jury trial for that is set to begin October 16, 2013, and the NFL might suspend him more depending on how that goes...

Since 2008, TCU football is 9-4 in its last 13 games against ranked opponents.

No. 12 LSU represents the highest-ranked opponent TCU has played in a season opener since a 17-10 win at No. 5 Oklahoma in 2005. that was Adrian Peterson's 2nd year at Oklahoma... TCU held him to 2.9 yards per carry on 22 carries for a total of 63 yards

coming into that game, TCU didn't even get a single vote in either the AP or Coaches poll. since then, TCU has been the 2nd-winniest program in college football (81.6%), right ahead of #3 LSU (80.2%) and right behind Boise State

pic from a few days ago (Saturday) of TCU quarterback Casey Pachall signing autographs at Meet The Frogs inside TCU's Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility.

    in 2011, Pachall was 228-of-343 (66.5%) for 2,921 yards, 25 TD and 7 INT.

in 2012, he was 64-of-97 (66.0%) for 948 yards, 10 TD and 1 INT before being kicked off the team.

in 2012, his 180.03 QB rating was #1 in the nation (AJ McCarron was #2, Aaron Murray was #3, Clemson's Tajh Boyd was #6).

in 2011, his 157.97 QB rating was #12 in the nation (Russell Wilson was #1, RGIII was #2, Kellen Moore was #3, Case Keenum was #4, Andrew Luck was #5, Matt Barkley was #8, Brandon Weeden was #9.... the best SEC QB was Tyler Wilson at #22 -- McCarron was #25, Aaron Murray was #26)

See there's the funny thing about statistics being able to be skewed. I'm willing to bet if we weight the wins/losses based on the strength of that schedule LSU blows them away, in fact I'd be willing to bet they aren't even top 5. Funny thing playing against NOBODIES ... you tend to be able to win easier.

TCU is 3-0 when debuting a new Nike uniform for a specific game:

TCU's first Nike uniform unveiling occurred prior to a 55-28 win over #16 Utah in the 2009 season. TCU was preseason #6 that year, and after going 9-0, they faced their biggest test of the season vs #16 Utah. With the new Nike uniforms, TCU obliterated Utah, jumping out to a 38-14 lead at halftime. In that game, TCU outgained Utah 549 to 284 and TCU had 32 first downs to Utah's 11

TCU's second Nike uniform unveiling came in a 30-21 season-opening win over #22 Oregon State in the 2010 Cowboys Classic in Cowboy Stadium. TCU again started off the season ranked #6 in the country. Oregon State was ranked #22, the #3 team in the Pac behind #11 Oregon and #14 USC. With the new Nike uniforms, TCU murdered Oregon State in total yards (outgaining them 453 to 255) and first downs (28 to 13), but two costly turnovers by TCU (compared to zero for Oregon State) kept the score within 9

TCU's third Nike uniform unveiling was prior to a 21-19 Rose Bowl victory over #4 Wisconsin (Big Ten Champs) in the 2011 Rose Bowl. TCU came into that game ranked #3. With the new Nike uniforms, TCU won a dog fight with a Wisconsin team led by Lott Trophy winner J. J. Watt (1st R pick, NFL Defensive Player of the Year last year), Montee Ball (2nd R pick in 2013 Draft) who was the #1 rusher in the game, Nick Toon (4th R pick, now a top 4 WR for the Saints), TE Lance Kendricks (2nd Round pick)--the two were the two leading Wisconsin recievers in the game--and a Wisconsin OL that featured Outland Trophy winner, All-American and 1st Round pick Gabe Carimi, as well as Kevin Zeitler (1st R pick and All-American) Peter Konz (2nd R pick) John Moffitt (3rd R pick) Ricky Wagner (5th R pick) and Bill Nagy (7th R pick)

    from LSU's AD:

LSU has won an FBS record 41 consecutive non-conference regular season games dating back to the 2002 season (the opening loss to Virginia Tech)

LSU is 31-0 under Les Miles in non-conference regular-season games.

Les Miles is 8-0 in season-openers at LSU.

LSU hasn’t lost a season-opener since a 26-8 setback to Virginia Tech in 2002. The Virginia Tech loss is also the last time the Tigers dropped a non-conference regular-season game.

LSU is 19-1 under Les Miles following a loss. LSU has lost back-to-back games just one time under Miles that coming in November of 2008 when the Tigers fell to Ole Miss and Arkansas in consecutive weeks.

Miles is 34-17 vs. ranked teams.

TCU is the 18th ranked opponent LSU has faced in its last 30 games. No other team in the nation has played as many games vs. ranked teams in that span.
