I'm discouraged about several things ---

We have not "evolved" offensively while most in our conference (Division) have. We're not keeping up. Even Bama has evolved

We have a little bit of an arrogant attitude about it, maybe - - ours are better thans yours and here it is --- over and over

Why are we recruiting athletic QB's and putting them in a 2TE, I Formation ?

I haven't understood our QB signing/recruiting philosphy in a number of years.

Miles recruits dual threat QBs so he can have more run options. He does not recruit them to increase the offenses ability to pass.

I think that depends on what you mean by "done what they expected". If you expected them to treat LSU as an offense that tries to keep you off balance ... then yeah, they didn't do what you expected. Instead, they did exactly what was expected against an LSU offense .... stack all eleven players in the box and watch the dumbass play calling arrogantly try to run over all eleven.

I think the problem is that LSU is so damn predictable.

One day, I'd like to see LSU come out and thow a series of 8-12 yard passes across the middle, utilizing the TE. One day, I'd like to see the RB Screen be a safety valve play that goes for yards, as opposed to being a planned, telegraphed play. ONE DAY .. I'd like to see LSU try to keep a defense off balance. It would do wonders for the ground and pound game.

Great to see the Hotter Heads thread getting more traction.

    It's a message board, for God's sake.

The NFL draft is very, VERY misleading. Just look at how many top pick aTm has had over the last several years. They have not exactly been big winners. USC dominated the draft years ago. Ou, FSU, and others have had a lot of high picks despite not winning as much as LSU.

LSU has no doubt done well with putting players in the NFL. Point to the draft or whatever you want. Can you honestly tell me that you feel Miles and staff has done a good job since the '11 SECCG?

Maybe I misread, but took your "coaching up" comment to mean developing players.

Yes, I meant player development, as well as coaching in general. Most of our OL are upper classman yet they look like crap. Most LB's are upper classman yet they look clueless. Previous to '11 Miles and staff were doing a great job at player development. Since then though we have not seen it outside of Mett, OBJ, and Landry. This season Dural has taken a big step forward but other than him no one looks any better than last year.
