Happy to bash tappy. You wuz wrong all along . . . Alabama was NOT the better team. Alabama could NOT stop the LSU running game. Special teams WAS the difference. Punters and kickers DO affect field position. LSU did NOT wear out in the 4th quarter. Denny Stadium was NOT very loud. Statistics ARE meaningless. Bama WAS outcoached. It's a longer list, but that will do. You were right about two things . . . you came back and Richardson is a Heisman candidate. See ya' next year.
Props to you for returning, Keep in my WVU among other teams couldn't score TD's on us inside the 30 yard line. I figured Bama's offense wouldn't be able to either. You aren't the first team to have trouble in the red zone against us. You guys played a hell of a game though, I expected your best but I was questioning just how good you were after watching you play Florida and Tennessee. I knew veteran QB's and special teams could be the difference and LSU has the best special teams in the country. No doubt without JJ we were done and would have lost. You have to keep in mind that we have a smart coach and coaching staff. Some questioned JJ playing at all after he came back from suspension. The coaches knew we would need both QB's all along to get the job done, maybe because neither QB is a complete QB.
Good to change the story after your team loses. Difference in the defenses is LSU made turnovers happen, Bama capitalized on bad throws. LSU also held god to under 100 yards rushing. But glad you're back. I suggest not talking with a mouthful.
Agreed, now is not the time for Tappy to start trying to back pedal and change his story. C'mon Tappy you came back to be a man, now own up to ALL of your smack talk......
My compliments on coming back and facing the music, Tappy. I predicted you wouldn't and I was obviously wrong. One thing in your OP analysis. McCarron didn't throw the interception at the goal line, it was Maze out of a Wildcat play. Also, someone argued out that we didn't score a TD after pushing it down to the 1, so it was not a given that Bama would have scored had that pass been completed. The big difference between the two situations was that we were up against the clock at the end of the half, and it limited our goalline offense. In fact, if I remember right, we kicked the field goal on 3rd down because we were out of time. Bama would not have had any such limitations had they got the first and goal from the one,.
No they aren't, Alabama is 3-9 against us since the year 2000 LSU is 9-10 at Bryant Denny Stadium. Nick Saban is 3-3 after a bye week with those 3 losses to LSU. CLM's record vs Alabama is 5-2 LSU's road record is 28-13-1 since 1970 CLM's night record? I don't remember that one, lol, I hope I have these right, most were off the top of my head.
I appreciate and respect the dude coming back. I just want to know if he still thinks that our running backs "suck". That's the one comment that really stuck with me all week. 'Bama gives up 44.1 ypg, LSU put up 148. Comment please... edit: I realize he said we ran well, but, the suck comment was pretty harsh...
Dont take it so hard because if you had a chance to listen to the play by play and post game show announcers, they like most of the country, were obviously pulling for bama.It seems Saban is worshiped and Miles gets no credit.LSU could of won this going away,we made at least 4 drive killing penelties, and not one highlight or even a mention of how Ruben Randle dropped a sure touchdown.Lee was a Deer in the headlights after he got jacked up in the first half.Thats why we have Jefferson, but after all is said an done LSU is not North Texas or Kent State.Bamas D looks good on paper.Too bad the game is played on grass.......
