You give quips and insults all of the time. Rarely do you offer substantial assessments or debates concerning them.

We must cherrypick a good deal. There are foolish wastes that should be ruthlessly eliminated. There are also vital interests that should not.

Any tax reform is still going to require a taxing authority.

You limp-wristed republicans do the same thing when in office. Then lie about it when you are not.

Good luck. Half of this country has a very different idea about who is fomenting class warfare.

Cut welfare because the job creators are behind on their monthly bonus.

Without full knowledge of every detail regarding these protests, my opinion is closer to the comment below (some random guy replying to a story in the Houston Chronicle) rather than all of the belitting going on:

First, let me state I am a lifelong Republican. Having said that, I think the majority of these posters are missing the point of the Wall Street protestors. And rightly so, as the protestors have not made focused statements explaining why they are taking to the streets.

I fully support their cause and think many millions of us should join them. As I see it, they are protesting the fact that ALL politicians of both paries listen to the Big Business lobbyists and turn a deaf ear on the common man. It really doesn't matter how the middle class votes, the politicians ARE influenced by contributions, etc. of Big Business.
Take banks for example. Their practices almost ruined the US economy by selling investments all the while knowing the American taxpayer would have to bail out the country. This is just what happened when the "too big to fail" instituions failed.
As a country, we are 15 TRILLION dollars in debt to some of our past most bitter enemies. So are many European countries. Our economic system (the World's) is on the verge of collapse and yet the 12 politicians charged with cutting 1.2 TRILLION dollars out of a 40 TRILLION dollar 10 year budget, are paralized to act.
I give the protestors credit with speaking out. That is more than I can say for the rest of us. We sit idly by while the US is firmly on track for economic failure. It's just a matter of a few years at best. I think sooner.

I avoid any appearance of pomposity...a trait you should aspire to.

Again, my plan calls for cuts in every area of government. If you allow exceptions, the politicians will see to it that nothing is cut.

Certainly. But not the monstrosity that the IRS has become.

I am a Tea Party guy. Manly and determined to rid the nation of teat sucking leeches.

I laugh at your denial. "Pay their fair share", take from those that have a little more (to Joe the Plumber)", "How much (money) is enough?"...Sorry Red, but Calhoun Hussein Obama is the one blaming all that ails the poor on the rich.

    I aspire to omniscience.

Smoke and mirrors. The class warfare is not between the rich and the poor, it is between the extremely rich and the middle class. WE are being hurt by this while you carry water for the billionaires instead of your own people.

The biggest transfer of wealth this country has ever seen was the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy. They have increased their wealth 281% while the middle class increased between 16% and 95%.

the middle class wealth increased because the wealth of the rich increased.

stop caring about the income gap. just cut it out. care about things that mattter. if you make enough, it does not matter one damn bit that somebody else makes enough times 900.

But this is a lie. I challenge you to document that ridiculous statement.

The Hell it doesn't. It's bad for the friggin country! I've explained this to you 300 times. Concentration of vast wealth in the the hands of a smaller and smaller few has throughout history led to protests, insurrection, coups, and revolution.

When the top 1% control 50% of the country's wealth and they demand even more . . . there is a problem. America's success was built on a model with few rich, few poor, and a large and prosperous middle class. As the 99% lose more prosperity, there will be more protests and the party of the Fat Cats will lose votes.

It's class envy; nothing more. And you've got the worst case I've ever seen.
