To say everything is to say nothing. You know we can't eliminate the government, or at least you should. But, like Herman Cain, you have no clue what is cuttable and what isn't.

I didn't say eliminate everything but everything can be cut.

Typical smug liberal who thinks he knows everything and thinks everyone else is clueless.

Let me guess, everything that benefits the middle class can be cut but anything that makes the 1% even wealthier can't be touched.

I'm waiting for your answers as to what needs cutting. Show me that you have a clue.

Why are taxes off the table? The best way to reduce the deficit and the debt is to attack it from both sides. Cut expenses and raise revenue.

What part of EVERYTHING is beyond your understanding?

The government gets more than enough revenue right now. They just need to learn how to use it.

Simply because you would not let your children have more money if they wasted it the way the idiots in DC do. What you are suggesting is a joke.
In no way has government even suggested cut spending, programs or anything.
They always want more dollars to grow in power and greed. They just play games, say they are going to cut something while doing the opposite.

So . . . no navy, no national parks, no air traffic controllers, no FBI, no Smithsonian, no VA, . . . just give me some idea what everything means to you.

So you really aren't interested in paying down the debt? Because it can't be done without posting surpluses. The 900 billion lost due to the Bush tax cuts make it impossible to do with spending cuts alone.

Right now the best thing that can happen is for Congress to do nothing. Then automatic cuts will kick in and expenses will be reduced. Then next year, the Bush-era tax cuts are set to expire, providing the lost revenue.

Nonsense. Obama proposed 4 Trillion in cuts last summer as part of the budget deal, but the GOP shot it down because it had 500 million in taxes.

cut welfare. i don't like my taxes going to people that don't want to o feel like they need to work. ebt cards for mcdonalds give me a ****ing break. no more taxpayer assisted housing or utilities payed. no more REFUND CHECKS for people that aren't paying taxes. if you can afford $4000 for tires and rims you don't need taxpayers paying your cell phone, rent, electric, gas and food bills. i work 3 different jobs and cut my spending where needed. i buy the great value brands at the grocery store and i'm sick of seeing these overweight lazy dumbass democrats with their buggies full of steaks, porkchops and chickens paying for it with foodstamps. come february when they get their REDISTRIBUTION OF MY WEALTH CHECKS they don't try and catch up on bills or save they go out and buy their bling and rims and put down payments on cars that will be re-po'd in 6 months. do away with fed. minimum wage or at least make the welfare recipients work for my money. welfare check/ $4 an hour= number of hours community service. have a flat tax. it's total bull**** to pay %14 tax rate then when you hit $50000 to get hit with %28. thats fukin going backwards and takes away incentive to work harder or more. government needs to get out of the way and these bums need to get jobs.

This was sent to me the other day, didn't look to see who wrote it, but I like..there is a little more if someone wants me to post it.

This was written by a 21 yr old female who gets it. It's her future she's worried about and this is how she feels about the social welfare big government state that she's being forced to live in! These solutions are just common sense in her opinion.

This was in the Waco Tribune Herald, Waco , TX Nov 18, 2010

    Put me in charge . . .

Put me in charge of food stamps. I'd get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho's, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I'd do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we'll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tats and piercings, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks?
You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your "home" will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.
