How can he have red at checkmate when red isn't even making an argument? The buddy system here is really making a fool out of some of ya.
red is making an argument. he thinks the rich do not pay enough taxes. the statement "x does not pay enough taxes" is almost never true.
So let me ask you this amigo, I am into the IRS for a bit this year. Are you saying that if those idle rich had paid more then perhaps I wouldn't have had to pay so much, maybe none at all? I mean to be honest they could probably find what I owe in between the seat cusions of their couch.
In other threads, yes. However, the fact that Obama payed however much in taxes stands alone, particularly in light of the fact that the president is not making a case that he is overtaxed. So this talk of "checkmate" or "spin this" is completely irrelevant and quite petulant. The premise here seems to be "Obama paid X in taxes, and we can only assume that he thinks he is overtaxed. Therefore, everything that he's ever asserted about raising taxes on the rich is undermined and hypocritical." Of course, only the part about how much he paid in taxes is true.
