never gonna happen. he's an osu alum, and he's t-boone's boy. pickens will not let that happen. plus, besides being an osu grad, why would mike give up a direct line to the money bags? when gundy was newly the hc, and birdwell was still ad (and btw, birdwell was not boones buddy, holder was t-boones hand picked ad) gundy wanted new turf for the practice field. instead of going to birdwell, he just went right to pickens. and yes, he got his new turf. he's also the darling of osu fans being one of their own. heat and expectations from lsu fans would be a culture shock to him. nope, osu is about as cushy a job as gundy could ever hope for.
With TCU moving to the Big East and getting the AQ, I don't think any school will be able to pry Patterson away.
