2001 SEC Championship. I was at that game, it was so frickin' awesome! The Georgia Dome was a sea of orange; LSU fans outnumbered by Vol fans almost 10 to 1, it looked like. If they had won that game, they were playing Miami in the Rose Bowl for the national title. We lost LaBrandon Toefield and Rohan Davey to injury in the first half, and I honestly thought we were done. And then Matt Mauck introduced himself to the country, and the rest is history.

Yeah, now roles are reversed, the West is clearly the better division. But it's gonna be Florida or South Carolina this year, and honestly, neither is a gimme for Auburn (or us, or Bama). So yeah, it could happen. If South Carolina brought down Auburn like we did Tennessee, costing the SEC a title shot? Wow.

Almost makes you think things will be "arranged" to make certain that doesn't happen (not that I'm into conspiracies or anything :D)

Then we could have a 3 loss Florida team in a BCS bowl while a 2 loss SEC team doesn't sniff one.

Seriously. But it's even worse than that: a 3-loss UF team would play in the Sugar while a one-loss LSU and AU and a two-loss 'Bama, Ark, and Moo U all sit at home. Pretty much every team that did and could beat them would see them represent the SEC in the BCS.

Whoever gets there for the West better show the Hell up.
