Your Yosemite Sam avatar after a recent post of mine....priceless!!! IMO, every forum should EITHER keep flamers in line OR have an IGNORE function....don't really care which. For those I don't respect and who clearly flame on a regular basis, there is certainly no reason why I should have to put up with that. Good job on the IGNORE function.
You should have been around for the SabanFan era. He elevated that stuff to an art form. Speaking of trolls, anyone hear from southerntgr lately? Looks like she ran off after people called her out on her New Orleans BS a while back.
You called? In case you were wondering, it is looks like you were since you addressed me personally, I have enrolled in school to become a paralegal. So on top of school, life and job I don't have time to entertain you boys. Oh and about Nola here is your link...http://www.npr.org/2012/07/05/155986277/new-orleans-struggles-with-murder-rate-and-trust. I am sure you won't believe the facts. Well got homework to do...carry on.
Oh, and oceanlsufan, remember this inbox you sent me. No, I don't care about the inbox rules. JoPa is a man .. he's not a superhero. Cut the guy some slack. What he did was right ... it wasn't wrong ... he notified his superiors ... but apparently, not right enough for the armchair folks. This is what you told me. Anyday Issy agrees with me I will be an armchair folk anyday. Maybe you should brush up on who knew who in this Penn state mess and what more could have been done. Like Issy said JoePa was Penn State and could have had Sundusky fired but didn't. Oh, I am glad to be the 10 percent that will stand up to someone who commits a crime. You are forgiven. Sandusky was not an employee of Penn State in 2002. So ..no, JoPa could not have fired him.Second, Sandusky was not convicted or even indicted at the time in 2002. To take action against someone before you know what is or was not is vigilantism. It will get you thrown in jail. Like JoPa said, in hindsight, he wished he had done more, but hindsight is always 20/20.Third, it doesn't matter that JoPa was Penn State .. JoPa was not and never was the criminal justice system. Now that all the facts are out. I would like to say you were wrong and I was right.JoePedo knew for 14 years and did NOTHING. If he was alive today he would be in jail. Glad to be just an armchair football fan. Cut the guy some slack. Cut a child rape enabler some slack. You words not mine. LMAO!
If I remember correctly, Sandusky wasn't even a DC in 1998 when this whole started BUT he acted with the freedom on campus as it he was. JoPa could have definitely taken away his athletic department keys in 2004 when McCurdy came forward to him and said he was an eyewitness to inappropriate action with children. JoPa did a handwaive to the AD. And no one at Penn State filed a police report which should have been done. And nnnoooo, I don't mean the Keystone Cops campus police. I mean the CITY police/town sheriff/Sheriff Andy Taylor/SOMEONE! You are correct that JoPa did NOTHING because of course Sandusky was a multi-decade friend and he must have known that when this "f"it hit the "sh"an that would NOT reflect good on him OR Penn State. He participated in a cover up, pure and simple, just like the AD did, just like the President of PSU did. I don't know if Paterno would be in jail if still alive but he would be sweating bullets wondering if a grand jury indictment was coming. I believe others will be going to trial, and they were further up the food chain than Paterno was. I'm talking about the former AD for one.
