6-3 295 pound lineman out of buford, georgia. He has been an LSU lean for several months now and he loved his LSU visit. Also was recruited by South Carolina and West Virginia. Four star OL by scout and three star OL by rivals (not that it matters). He is a very good commitment, and we now have four quality OL, still need two more. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=107&p=8&c=1&nid=1738170
Would be nice to get an LSU! commitment from Perrish Cox either today or tomorrow!!! Be a NICE Christmas gift indeed!
People say the stars dont matter, but none of the 3 or less star linemen since 2002 have started at LSU... 3 stars usually means "role player"..
WRONG! Jessie Daniels was a 3-star recruit. Chevis Jackson was a 3-star recruit. Ryan Willis was a 2-star recruit. And last time I checked, all those guys have started for us at one time or another--and Daniels is an ALL-SEC caliber player. But since you DID say "linemen", I'll add Brian Johnson and Brett Helms. Johnson had 5 starts for us in '04 and Helms is in line to start next season.... Furthermore, rivals also uses a numerical ranking system (which I'm sure you're already aware of) and the numerical values that coincide with a 3-star recruit is a 5.7-5.5 and this is what is explained about those figures:
Three stars really don't mean anything. Its all about development. Lets hope that Miles can develop talent.
