But where are the alternatives. Not kooks from fringe parties, but a nationally viable and qualified candidates?
I'm not talking about just Presidents. But they are out there. Sadly what some think is kooky is merely just the truth.
Been out of commission the past few days with an absessed tooth but back on track now.....Red, thanks for finding the larger print edition online. There is no doubt that we are left with a choice between the fringes, and I definitely agree with kluke that the Dems and Repubs have made every effort to make third party candidates seem like kooks. Not just that, but the money game is slanted toward the major parties and the recent Supreme Court decision regarding campaign donations only makes it worse. Red is also right that you have to vote for someone, not voting at all entitles you to no opinion. At some point the reasonable majority in the middle will have to say enough to the idealogues on both sides and insist that some common sense be exercised.
I have to disagree that not voting entitles you to no opinion. When choosing between a douche and a turd, not voting is an opinion.
Neither party qualifies as Fiscally Conservative. As Nixon said, "We are all Keynesians now." Big Government across the board, they just have different spending priorities.
Man, you are spot on here. there is no such thing as a fiscal conservative anymore. It's a damn shame.
Here is another way of looking at the national debt. US debt visualized: Stacked in 100 dollar bills @ 15 Trillion Dollars - Equal to US GDP 2011
