Given all the criticizisms, the areas needed for improvement, and the predictions of a horrible season, the most telling stat is 5-0. This team finds ways to win. I like our chances in all of our remaining games. The heart and desire this team has is what champions are made of. Bring it on suckas.

LSU is surely not hitting on all cylinders but they find a way to win. If they ever get the kinks worked out they could be awesome. Jefferson holds the key to a lot of this with his inability to run the option & not getting rit of the ball soon enough.. but --- at least he is not throwing interceptions or as many as last years team anyway. Future looks bright if they will just play hard each play.. :geaux:

Honestly, we're just a confident and seasoned QB away from being that elite team.

And it's a work in progress. Maybe we keep "sneaking' by opponents with a promising Jefferson at the helm.

If the light comes on for him against Florida, we're winning the game, Tebow or no Tebow.

No, we're a dominant defensive line with a pass rush away, too.

Had Jefferson had his A game, LSU wins 41-7.

No one would be clamoring for a better d-line.

Our back 7 is playing well enough to compensate for average d-line play. Kinda like Florida is doing this year.

I respectively disagree with both of you. While I agree in part with both of you. Id like to see JJ set his feet on every throw and have a better feel on the option. Overall I think his play is good enough.

The DL played an excellent game in shuttind down UGA. Except on their final drive, where they didnt get ANY push what so ever. They arent quiet the DL of years past but I think they are more than capable.

Whats holding LSU back from being a serious contender is the OL. They dont give JJ enough time on a consistent basis. Also they dont have any push on their run blocking. When they do open holes Scott and Williams have done an excellent job. In nearly every game the OL has been dominated by the opponents. I think thats whats holding LSU back from being an elite team. JJ is good enough when given some time and the DL is good enough as well. The D is really coming together as a whole.

Sure up the OL and this is a SCARY team.

    Good post, phenom! I agree.

Still issues on the o-line, but getting better. I guess they would have looked even better if have of them weren't tossing their cookies, wonder what was up there?

JJ is a true soph with 7 starts. He's a good runner, and short to medium passer. He lacks some consistency and can polish some skills, but I'd put him in the top half of SEC QB's. He'll be better next year. The pity is that we still have no Jr. or Sr. QB on scholly, which is part of our problem.

The best news, is it looked like we have improved on both lines through the course of the season. We need to improve this week for the test next Saturday, which is one of the two big ones, Bama being the other one, for the marbles in the west. Can't forget about Miss. and Auburn.

Amen. We can't give quarterbacks a half an hour to find a receiver on each and every third down situation.

Are you serious? The lack of an effective pass rush has hurt us all year and can kill us against a top passer like Locher, Tebow, or Snead.

The front four simply cannot pressure the quarterback alone. It is a real problem and must be fixed if we are to finish with 10 wins.

I agree, in the first half the OL played well. I think the sickness part probably had a lot to do with the second half. When needed though they stepped it up on the final drive. Great job there.

I know Ive been very critical of the staff, most specifically Coach Miles since he is the HC. I stand by everything Id previously said. But yesterday I really saw LSU come together. I had actually felt good going into the game and felt we would see the best LSU. There is still a lot to work on, but I seen a lot of progress. Thats all I wanted to see. Im feeling a lot better about this team. If the OL can really step up against UF, LSU has a great shot at beating them. There is potential to be a great team here. We have more talent then anyone we play outside of UF. Where is probably a push. Bama is a better team right now, but LSU has more talent. Its just to keep molding it. Great job on the progress!:geaux:
