My wife and I talked about that after the game. Coach Saban looked exhausted. I'm sure this week was hard on him, partly because even thought he is at Alabama, I think he still has a lof of love for LSU and the players that remain that he recruited. Other than his one mess up with the "coona**" joke,(in which I don't think he intended any harm) he has always spoke about LSU with respect.
True, of course. But Nick's intensity is taking years off his life, I fear. He really gets worked up and always has. If ever a guy has earned an early retirement, it's Nick. He makes good money and can afford it, I just hope the stress doesn't get to him first.
You are right. I wonder if he ever takes any time at all to just relax. He rarely smiles, even after a win, and after one of the games said "I know I may not look happy, but I am." One day he may well decide, this is enough, and retire while he is still young enough to enjoy life. Then again, he may be like Coach Bryant who said he would croak in a week if he retired....while it missed it by a few weeks as he was dead in less than 2 months.
