Moral Monday's were started by the NC NAACP chairman to protest the Right Wing actions of the NC Legislature. The Legislature is filled with looneys, and I get his sentiment, in broad terms. But I certainly do not support all their positions. A favorite target, if not the favorite target, of the Moral Monday crowd is a new law passed in NC to require photo ID at the polls. Here are the instructions for the Moral Monday Marchers. It could, I guess by a ruse. I sure hope so. If this is for real..well I just don't know.
I have to disagree with your thread title here because this is certainly NOT the most amazing thing that I'll ever see.
I'd say that's pretty far from the most amazing thing I've seen or will ever see, I feel I've been unjustly baited into reading this thread.
I just don't get the controversy with ID's. We have to have ID for just about everything and identity theft is a huge and growing problem. Who doesn't have an ID? And if they don't, what is wrong with them?
I've had an ID since I was 14 and had a learners permit... not sure about anyone else around here but I need an ID to cash a check, use a debit card, buy dip & alcohol, to drive my truck, rent a car if I need one, to check my son out of school when I need to, to get in to certain places like bars, or the hospital, or voting polls, to buy a hunting & fishing license, to buy firearms, etc... hell now you need an ID to buy certain OTC cold meds... i'm not sure how anyone can live without having an ID.
You can no longer check into a hotel without ID. Hell, my bank won't let me deposit a check without ID. I told them that I'm OK with anyone who wants to deposit any money anonymously in my account!
Then why is it the left are the only ones to raise such a stink over it? Oh, I concur with this is NOT the most amazing thing. Gonna Tits are amazing and this is nowhere close to tits.
