LOOK TO THE *SECOND STRAIGHT GAME* OF PISS POOR PLAY OF THE OFFENSIVE LINE. TWO STRAIGHT GAMES...

I feel for the Defensive Line and Linebacking corps; they stopped the best RB in the nation. Until they wore out.

Pass Rush was non-existent or non-effective. Quick release to the TE and play action passing - when their running game wasn't working - and rolling out gave McCarron time and easy passes.

DB coverage was poor. Not much to say here. I think it was more gameplan related but Mathieu is SMALL and he's not our best cover guy.

OFFENSIVE GAMEPLAN sucked; I KNEW Saban would stop the option. We were outcoached here.

    Adjustments. What adjustments? Coaching.

The lackluster attitude on the field and sideline is a combo of prep (coaches) and the players.

A lot of folks are eating a lot of crow.

I think the Ga Southern game was a real wake-up-call for them. After not doing well against it vs. us and than getting ripped by an FCS team, it became a real priority. They played that game as if no matter what, they would not let the option beat them. Our offensive game plan played right into their hands. Sad day to be a Tiger.

You have to give props to 'Bama. Their defensive game plan was brilliant. Jefferson sputtered all night long, except for one drive in the 2nd half. What myself and the Razorback nation wonders is why on earth didn't Miles play Lee? Try him for a least one series. Jefferson was completely ineffective.

the lack of fire came from the team's realization we were doomed offensively from the start.

i dont think it was lack of desire. it was having no quarterback and no sense of hope because les miles refused to adjust.

bama did to us what we did to everyone else. sucked the life and will out of us. the helplessness was tangible. infectious.

the offensive line didnt fail us as much as they simply had too many people to block. because bama didnt respect the pass. nor should they. although they made plenty of mental mistakes which certainly compounded things. but when you are overwhelmed and outmanned, this is what happens. and you look lackluster.

everyone was within 10 yards of the LOS. the entire game. everyone knew what we were going to TRY to do. Everyone knew it wasnt going to work. except maybe the head coach and jefferson himself.

The last time we have had a prolific offense may have been the OSU game in New Orleans. I expected at least some similar creativity with over a month to prepare.

    nada.

Even this year we were middle of the pack offensively and below just about every top 25 team.

So yeah, its great JJ and Lee are gone. But the offensive coordinator who called the shots last night remains. And thats not greg studrawa.

Do we hire an actual offensive coordinator, let him call plays and make proper adjustments? Im not so sure. This looks to be Miles' way despite having one of the worst rated offenses in the country going on 5 years.

if the first half against UGA and Bama wasnt enough to force a change, especially when you have a million dollar more per year salary at stake, Im not sure what will.

No one is asking for that. What they are asking for is a coach with a little more flexibility instead of being so stubborn and continuing to try to pound a square peg into a round hole, film study of the top defensive team in the nation in a effort to develop an original game plan that the opponent might not be expecting, a little innovation on offense to keep said opponent off balance, and a willingness to adjust, either with play calling, personnel, or both, when it's blatantly obvious that the first game plan isn't working.

That's all. Is that too much to ask?

What? Brilliant? It's the exact same game plan LSU has faced in every game for the last 3 years. Stack the box and make LSU's pitiful QB's beat them with the pass. It's been the worst kept secret of the century. LSU's run game has been so good that even against 9 man fronts LSU has come out on top. However you don't face a defensive front like Bama's every game. There might be slight variations by the different teams but the nuts and bolts of every single team on the schedule has been stack the box and watch JJ melt IF you can stop the run. Absolutely nothing brilliant about that.

Having slept on it......still had to work today, kids went to school, sun was shining, still no snow and last night sucked. The only crappy night in a great season and we are losing 2 players who have kept us down for 4 yrs. let's hope hoops and baseball can pick us up. In a few short months we start this ride all over again.

" losing 2 players who have kept us down for 4 yrs. "

I am sorry but really ?
We are 15-3 the last two years with an SEC championship.
Yes Jefferson truly is the worst QB in LSU history. That I get but kept us down ?
I would hardly say LSU is down.

You want to see down. Look at Univ. of Texas. That proud program or Ohio State or Notre Dame, or USC
    Those teams are down.
Down teams dont lose the BCS National Championship to a team they already beat once.
LSU had a sh*tty night. Miles had a bad day and our QB was (love saying was) was the worst in LSU history.

But believe me we should be thankful for the Joy we have experienced during the last 2 years. It has been an awesome ride with more to come.

Also the gameplan was set for what JJ does well.
I am sorry what does he do well ? I cannot think of anything he does well.
People discuss the first Bama game. We scored 9 points. That was well ?
I have yet to see anything JJ does well.
