We got kicked up and down the field on offense. Hats off to "The Furor" and his team for an excellent gameplan and execution. I feel bad for our Defense who played very strong, but received absolutely no support from our Offense.
That's exactly what it seemed like to me. I suppose our guys like Will Blackwell saying that Alabama didn't deserve to be there was actually how we felt--along with feeling invincible. Fortunately, the 4-year problem at QB is over, and we can focus on the future. And hopefully, Reuben Randle will come back because if he wants to go high in the draft, he needs at least one full year with a QB that can get him the ball. He and JL had great chemistry for a while there this season.
Bama just wanted the game more, it looked like the team was happy with the awards they received before the championship game or they thought they could just show up because of the regular season. My hat goes off to the defense, they played their hearts out. Someone here mentioned the hardware last night and it just might be what happened. I am so, so very happy the QB situation will be different starting next year and want to think JL for sticking around for his senior year.
Have to agree 100%. I'm trying to be positive and have avoided ESPN and the papers, so I'll keep this short. What a season! The Tigers had a great one and I definitely enjoyed it. 13-1 is a great great run especially with the schedule, no matter how bad it ended. Now to the game/slaughter. Bama had an offensive game plan for LSU's defense. The entire ride home we debated what in the Hell LSU's game plan on offense was and couldn't figure it out. What in the world was the coaching staff doing the last month? The best thing I can say about JJ is thank God the roller coaster ride is over. He would not start on any other top 25 team and most out side of the top 25. I really like Miles and hope he stays forever, but there is no denying that he had his azz handed to him last night. What made it so hard to believe is how great he has prepared the team for bowls in the past. The next few days will be downers, but once everyone gets time to reflect it will be clear what a wonderful season we just witnessed. Imagine how much better it would have been if we had just an average SEC QB to pull the trigger.
Game plan? There was a game plan? Unless you're calling running the ball with 9 in the box against the best run defense in the nation a game plan.
100% on our OFFENSIVE staff and Les Miles! Defense did it's job, offense had a poor poor game plan and made NO adjustments.
+1.......LSU tried to play the entire game within 9 yards of the line of scrimage....played right into Bamas defensive strong points! The back end of bama's defense will give up some big plays.....the front end never does.....it's been proven all year long, and I'm just a nobody who coaches youth football....I do not make 3.5 mill a year to see that. With all that being said.....les is still my guy! He just got severely out coached last night, hope he learns from his mistakes and moves on.
