maybe. i tend to be an optimist. there has been legislation introduced to limit NCAA shithousery. no sanctions after a time window, no punishment of players and coaches that know nothing of the infractions because they were not there, etc.

no clue if this will pass, and i hope it doesnt, becuase its none of the govt bizness. but it indicates a public sentiment that the NCAA is pure fuckery and should dial it back.

i have read about the recent punishments that have come down and they have not been very severe. and of course, nobody involved with wade is around at all. new AD, coach players etc. seems cruel to punish those guys. not that the NCAA isnt cruel and irrational, but here's hoping.

i think we get one year postseason ban. and i think its possible we dont get that and instead we get fines and scholatship and recruiting restrictions that amount to nothing.

i think will wade will get a ban from NCAA, which he will defeat in court easily, or i think the NCAA will know he will defeat them in court and give him some sort of cursory non-penalty to save face.

 

I agree with most of this but think WW might be out of work for a year or two.

 

if he wants a break he might kick back for a year but all he knows is staying busy so I doubt it. He will not go back into coaching (maybe pro) but he will be busy making kid's dreams come true. In a new portal dominated world opportunity abounds.

You're probably right, but a severe punishment surely doesn't seem fair now that the guilty parties are gone. I've just never understood how players that receive the money always get a free pass, but the players that follow them pay the punishment!

What a dumb thing to say. Now if you want to say KS is a blueblood and true to form the ncaa will do nothing to them but hammer some little guy, possibly LSU then ill listen.
