Exactly. I wish they would do away with the Tulane game too. That is hardly a rivalry. No one cares about the Tiger Rag anymore.

They could have at least come up with a tougher sounding name. Magnolia?

It was supposedly (spelling) voted on by the student bodies... trouble is, most of our student body doesn't get on paws to vote for Student Governemnt much less a made up rivalry.

    How about the

    "Last State in Everything Bowl"

It would go to the loser of the game!

I do have to say its a better trophy then the freaking "Boot"

The Ole Miss/LSU rivalry was still going strong in the 70's as well. LSU!

    The Hell Bowl.

In a rivalry marked by fans telling the other fans to geaux to hell, what name could be more fitting? For a trophy, the two teams can fight over a trident.

    Les, make this happen!

If somebody had come up w/ this idea 70 years ago, it would have been cool. But now it just seems artificial and contrived, like "The Boot" (which I can't stand, incidentally).

LSU has been to 38 bowls, Ole Miss 31. LSU has won 20 Ole Miss 19.

Over the past 9 games that were played in Baton Rouge Ole Miss is 4-5. Only Bama has more wins than Ole Miss in Baton Rouge.

    ;)

That's a nice way to sugar coat it. But reality is that the last time Ole Miss has beaten LSU in any venue was 2001.

Yep, that is true. Those losses happened in a different era. (Coach O) other than 3

    Ole Miss won in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, Since then LSU has won 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007
