Goodness this hurts but I have never been more proud of a team then this LSU Tiger team. They never quit. They kept coming and left it all out on the field. They will always be # 1 in my heart.

Agreed. Really dissapointed in the first half performance though. Game after game and it finally bit us. So so so so close.

Hopefull, we win our next two games, but some reason, it won't be the same...I'm still proud of the team and coach Miles, even if he leaves...The last three seasons have been awesome...I have to admit that I thought we would loose like 3 or 4 games this year, cause I didn't think that the offense was good enough...Funny thing that it was our defense that let us down...Can't complain about the offense...Just wish Flynn would've been a bit better, his accuracy is awful.

For some reason this isn't as tough as the Kentucky loss. This team has gone a long way with no big offensive play stars. If you think about it, our problems have come from big play guys, not from total team efforts--Woodson, McFadden, Tebow all gave us fits. We kept coming, and came very close to a NC without one Heisman candidate or star. I think this team is wonderful and I am very proud of them. I think they're very talented but in this conference in a way they've played over their heads weekly. I look for them to win the SECCG if Tennessee is the opponent and to have big trouble if they have to deal with Moreno of UGA. But either way, they're the greatest group of seniors ever.:LSU231: :LSU231: LSU is still #1 in my heart, too, and I'm sure that's true of most people here.

yeah but i'd rather be #1 in the bcs and heading to NO. Reality though, LSU had the talent to be a top team but leadership and discipline we didn't have. I am happy if LES goes and I will not miss Matt Flynn---Let's bring back Jimbo as HC and get it done---

You must love mediocrity, cause that's what you'll get if LSU hires that dipchit. Remember DiNardo.

I feel bad. Not just for myself, but for the players. They are taking it harder than we are as fans. Just look at Demetrius Byrd's status on Facebook:

I never see players post anything football-related in their status. I watched him sit on one kneed in the endzone with his hand over his face for what had to have been ten minutes. He took this one hard.
