I knew Paul Lyons and his brother Pat as well. I helped Pat get a date with my best friends sister. I and other other players from USL and even La Tech would work out with both the Lyons boys in the summer on the Lafayette High practice field. Mac Barrouse (McNeese) and Billy Ryckman (La Tech) would show up sometimes. Tommy Casanova came by once and caught a few passes and played a little DB to help work out the WR's. I and walk on Lou Hebert would be there most workouts. Paul was a devote Christian and more than once tried to convert me. My gut tells me he didn't say that but in that scenario maybe he threw his religion out the window and if so glad he did.
I was at the 1 second game. Tailgated after the with two former Ole Miss players….. And they were actually crying. Gave them a few beers.
During the Tampa Bay Bucs' franchise opening 26 game losing streak, a reporter asked Coach John McKay about his offense's execution. He said, "I'm for it."
well there you go…. look out uk: Brody Miller @BrodyAMiller · 1m Orgeron says first of all #LSU needs to be committed to the run game. There are different sets and formations they can try to open things up, but they need to actually commit to it.
O needs to never meddle in any meeting that does not involve the defensive line. No one has ever even offered him a coordinator job for a reason. He was almost banned from the coaching industry universally for his deplorable behavior at Miami. From what I'm hearing he's on his way there once again. Though my guess is Kiffin will always take him, especially to recruit at Ole Miss. But he's burning bridges in the coaching world faster than a California wildfire.
I'd have no problem with O as recruiting coordinator, so long as he doesn't have the final say on who gets recruited. That person has to appreciate the importance of top level offensive linemen.
Oh no doubt. His ego will never do it. Lot of people didn't like that when he didn't get the USC job he immediately bailed on his kids and his team. He will do that here for sure.
Like others on this site, I have not seen another LSU OL look this bad ever. The opposing D seems to know exactly where we are running and gets immediate penetration there. Our RB's don't stand a chance. I just don't understand why this deficiency was not seen in practice and worked on.
