The Cholly Mac days were legendary. Back then his postgame meeting with media was on the radio . You would hear the entire session. Some nights he was hilarious. One game against Kentucky Art Still - a huge All American defensive tackle for Ky blocked a field goal picked up the ball and ran about 70 yards for a score. After the game Mac tells the press ‘Fellas my kicker - all 5’8 170 pounds of him tells me ‘Coach I almost caught up to him’ I told the boy ‘Son, what the hell would you have done if you did?’ The reporters roared with laughter. Mac was priceless. We were no where near a national title back then but I still miss those days .
LSU ran the ball once over its last 19 plays I read somewhere…. you have to think that a back in space can make the 1st guy miss…
Yes, I saw this as well. The 4th quarter playcalling while we had the lead: Pass Pass Pass Punt Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Pass Punt Pass Pass Pass Punt We finally attempted running after we lost the lead. Pathetic.
Do we have anymore fullbacks on scholarship? I ask b/c maybe that extra push up front from our weak oline might spring the RB if we only tried.
Just like Miles Cholly Mac was stubbon and refused to adapt. I did like Cholly he was a good man and never embarrassed the school.
I think it's maybe the opposite maybe Ed needs to step in more. Bring Ensminger back for the rest of the season to bring some experience and stability to the offense. I could be wrong about this. One thing I do know is we have to think outside the box to make this offense more productive.
