i knew they were going to take his name of the trophy because it's such a minor deal, but what i'm curious about is:

    1) does he get kicked out of the College Football Hall of Fame? (they already inducted him)

    2) does his statue outside the Penn State stadium get torn down?

I guess it's all natural for us to want to depict JoePa as if he ran Penn State like J. Edgar Hoover ran the FBI...

Perhaps he did.... my guess is he ran PSU more like Sheriff Andy Taylor ran Mayberry RFD.

Hell, JoePa coulda been Barney Fife, for all I know.

I just hope none of my employees is attacking/abusing children. I mean, I would know, right? Wait, not just kinda know... I mean really know, right?

I think I'll let this play out in the courts.

On a brighter side, does anyone else find it odd that some queer on campus gets caught by a guy named McQueary?

I mean, shouldn't there be an InQueary into this????

Yeah that is the thing that twist your gut into a knot. We don't want to believe that he knew.... but he did. Opie ran and told him as soon as he witnessed the shower scene. You don't preside over a program for as long as JoePa did and "not know". I won't speculate as to why he did or didn't do "enough" about it but make no mistake, he knew exactly what was going on.

The last time someone's star had plummeted out of the sky this fast was when Moses was driven out of Egypt.
