Hes a space eater if nothing else. That guy is massive.

The impressive thing about Hagans is how athletic he is for a 285 pound guy, though. I think you're right..with some technique work the guy could be a great player.

I don't know that it will. Look at all the publicity we've received from putting SO many D-linemen in the NFL--specifically DT's:

    Howard Green
    Booger McFarland
    Kyle Williams
    Claude Wroten...and soon...
    Glen Dorsey

All told, we have 8 former D-line Tigers on NFL rosters. With the moniker of "D-line U" ever growing, it's not hard to believe the revolving door of top-notch D-linemen coming to LSU will continue.

    Projected DT's for '08:
    Marlon Favorite, Sr.
    Charles Alexander, Sr.
    Al Woods, Jr.
    Ricky Jean-Francois, Jr
(with his play AS a DT in the BCS, it's hard to imagine him playing solely at DE. He may move back and forth between the two spots all season, but he won't stay at just one)
    Drake Nevis, Soph.

    and for '09:
    Ricky Jean-Francois, Sr.
    Al Woods, Sr.
    Drake nevis, Jr.

And we will CERTAINLY add 3-5 DT's in recruiting over the next 2 seasons and I wouldn't be surprised if that number is higher.

We have a LOT of QUALITY depth, but at some point, you DO reach your limit in terms of recruits being interested. That's where we are this year, but I assure you, that's NOT where we'll be next season in the eyes of blue-chip DT recruits.

NO. I mean HOWARD Green. DT for the Seahawks.

Besides, Jarvis is a DE. The list you quoted me on was for DT's. :D

Shame, shame! Know your Tigers! ;) :thumb:

    Oops, my bad

I saw Green and immediately thought Javris. Admit I was in a hurry when I read that and didn't realize you were talking DTs. Carry on

Not that it matters...but it gives me something to do during the off season...but LSU falls to #8 in the rival rankings after UF gets four-star offensive tackle Ricky Barnum.

I am hearing that we are going to be short on defensive tackles. If so who out there is left to recruit & how are we doing with them?? Omar Hunter - no interest,,, Brandon Thompson - High interest,,, Stacey McGee - Med Interest,,, Moses McRay - No Interest,,, Bo Tillman - Med Interest,,, Chris Martin - Med Interest.. That is according to Scout which is kinda unreliable according to some of you fellows.

    Who said we're short???

We return Charles Alexander, Marlon Favorite, Jean-Francois, Al Woods and Drake Nevis. Plus, Pep Livingston is big enough to fill in as a DT if forced to because of injury.

6 DT's is "short"??? Only 2 can be on the field at one time!

Who says we NEED a DT in this class anyways??? If this were Jan. 2009, and we had no DT commitments, THEN I would be nervous...but now??? ...nope. Not worried.

Moses McCray, Brandon Thompson & Lavar Edwards are the only names out there right now.

I think Brandon Thompson is who the staff wants most, but he's considered a Clemson lock. Moses McCray (Fla St commit)is very similar to Thompson & would be a great addition. Lavar Edwards has great combine numbers, but has not had an impressive HS football career because his heart isn't in the game. Sonny & Mike both say that he's a take though if he wants to commit.
