so J Lee was in the doghouse for an internal matter they won't disclose to protect his privacy?

If everything was A-ok with Lee, I'd have let him get in the game, but I doubt it would have changed anything. there is a reason that his career stats against Alabama are 1 TD and 7 interceptions.

I'm glad that whole Lee/JJ debacle is finally over....it seems like its been going on for 5 years now.

Even though JJ and JL are now history, I believe us fans will continue to discuss this well into the offseason.

I've already spent way too much time today thinking about the loss; to Bama of all teams, and Saban. Makes my blood boil, although I can tip my hat to them.

I suppose we'll never really know what went on internally, why CLM stuck with JJ even though he was terribly ineffective, and why no JL (or even Mett for that matter) to try and create a spark. That said, it's hard to fathom that CLM not only came up with a lame gameplan, but stuck with JJ for so long with a championship on the line. I'm just totally baffled by the whole thing...

I truly hope that we go back to a one QB system next season.

LSUDIEHARD I AGREE WITH YOU 100 %. At least why didnt he let him be captain at the beginning of the game. I think he was more of a rolemodel as a student and player than JJ ever was. Jarret Lee should have been out there representing us for the coin flip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some ESPN guys said today that we look dangerous next season because of our recruiting class and I think its we got that quarterback. I looked at our schedule next season and our first 3 guys look easy. We probably have to worry about Washington.

    Here is what I found:

    North Texas
    Washing. Huskies
    Idaho Vandals
    Auburn
    Towson Tigers
    Florida
    South Carolina
    Texas A&M
    Alabama
    Mississippi State
    Ole Miss
    Arkansas

We need to watch out mostly for Auburn and their teammates including the usuals of Florida, Alabama(revenge for our loss to them) and Arkansas

I know it is true, zero doubt. Lee even said he started to warm up. That doesn't mean he was told to do so. He was only coming in case of injury or mop up. Lee even said he thought he might get a couple of plays. But more wishful thinking.

Not that big of a secret either apparently. Of all places I just heard someone at Albertson's (LOL) talking about all that has transpired and on a conference call today with someone who is around the team on a regular basis.

Remember don't go buy what Miles says either. We had 18 players after the mid November progress report with academic issues ranging from minor to major. We were told everyone on the team was cleared and good to go after finals. Then we find out Trevon Randle has flunked out. Miles motto about academics is that having grade issues is one thing but missing classes is not tolerated. And missing classes is only 1/3 of the issue at hand.

Well if Les is protecting JL by not speaking out, that would change things. Ie Les has a great reason, but can't reveal it without damaging JL. So Les is taking the heat. No way this can stay a secret forever. If its true Les is taking the heat to protect JL, then its admirable. But JL is acting like he doesnt know what the deal is. Other players are acting like they dont know why JL isnt getting minutes.

Would have to be a pretty damn good reason to get Les off the hook as far as I'm concerned; one worth a NCG debacle that unfortunately undermines the entire season of accomplishment.

Les listed the reason as being they needed someone mobile because of the pass rush. So at best, Les wasnt being entirely honest if there is another reason thats actually a gamechanger in how we'd see the QB situation.

Even if Lee was benched to to academics plus 2/3rds other stuff, Mett was available. I don't care that he hadn't seen meaningful minutes in a game this year, he has practiced with the team all year, he lead a JC team for a year, he couldn't have been any worse. Or put Ware or RS in the Wild Tiger or something!
