Like many, I've been thinking about this all day. I think if Miles would simply give the Tiger fans something, even a broad based comment , it would at least suffice. "It's an internal matter" or "That's between JL and myself. At least something. But to say, "We considered Lee" only makes it worse. It really has many faithful beyond baffled. The talk that Lee quit going to classes, gfriend left him, began drinking, etc. are continuing to fly out there. Towards the end of the game last night I was talking to an LSU student at the endzone asking why no JL. His response was this, "Jarrett Lee brought this on himself. He quit going to class." I don't know if this kid knew anything more than that has been speculated but it's what we are left to ponder since Miles offers nothing more.
That doesn't mean anything. Unless everyone has forgotten, LSU has (allegedly) fired instructors for not going along to get along when it comes to football players. The Badger Herald: News: LSU, kinesiology professor end lawsuit
I trust you Bhelm and know you have good inside information. My only question is if this were the case, why would someone tell Lee to start warming up when JJ showed no signs of an injury? It appeared like on multiple occasions Lee was called on to be ready to go and Miles never pulled the trigger. Even if there was an issue, wouldn't you rather win the game and have to vacate the win later than simple get slapped in the mouth with no chance?
I would tend to go with what others have mentioned. If it was this dire then he should have been demoted to 3rd string and they should have had Mett ready to go as the number 2.
