This is what I was about to post...

His throwing motion reminds me of Brett Favre. He tries to throw the ball all-arm. While this does give him a very fast release, it also takes zip and accuracy off of the ball. If Kragthorpe can teach him to push off just a touch with his back foot, his throwing motion will be 10x better.

What we need from him is the stats he had in 08, +10 on accuracy (completion percentage) and half the picks. 13 TDs is low but livable, especially with a good running game. I just don't think he is a "caretaker" type quarterback. He is a gunslinger. If the light comes on and he improves his technique, he will be deadly.

Lee has the tools. He's shown flashes of greatness, or even averageness, but he's also had some outright terrible showings. He has the ability to light it up but he also occasionally showed some self destructive tendencies.

Hoping for the best, certainly not writing him off.

That video really serves well to remind us what a strong arm JL has. If he makes good decisions and the O-line gives him time he could be a great QB. He has over a week to get himself ready for Oregon now. I think we're gonna be ok. In fact I think JL's gonna seize this opportunity and make it work. He just has to keep the ball in the hands of the right players.

The burden now falls on Oregon's defense to game plan against a different offensive style than they've been planning all summer. I think Les will make this work to our favor.

The key will be not to try and hide Lee, meaning handling him with kid gloves. Those need to come off. We need to be aggressive and let everyone know we can throw the ball down field and it must be respected. That's how we will achieve a most dominating run game.

Last year we were so timid that the QBs showed it in their play. They didn't want to make mistakes and that's exactly what they did.

Let the aerial show begin, Mr. Miles, lest you be doomed to repeat the past.

To finish the remainder of the title...

...if he doesn't throw off his back foot every pass!

Maybe Kragthorpe has worked with him and has him stepping into his throws vs. the dreaded back foot pass that we see in almost every completion on that highlight.

Not sure if you meant this to refer to me or not but I would appreciate some clarification because I don’t have anything in common with the KKK morons.

I tried to send you a private message but your box is full.

    Great point.

That is his one huge downfall. He needs to stay strong in the pocket, take the hit if necessary when releasing the ball moving forward as he throws.

That's what I thought! This unfortunate incident seems to be becoming more of a distraction to Oregon's defense than to our own offense. I bet Oregon's D Coordinator has spent tons of time this summer analyzing how to take away JJ's mobility. Now all of a sudden all the homework that he and his defensive players have accomplished are all but wasted as Lee is more likely to throw the ball down field. Hard to tell who hates this incident more.:D
