Its complex. Iran doesn't sponsor anti-Western jihadist terrorists and never have. They don't sponsor genocidal central African terrorists either. They do sponsor anti-Israeli Palestinian nationalists that generally do not attack America, behead Americans, commit genocide, hijack airliners, or stage random international acts of terror. They fight a guerrilla war against Israel as they always have. Not nice guys, but they are a far cry from the crazies in Al Qaeda and ISIS.

It's a matter of where to draw the line between international jihadist terrorists and nationalist insurgent groups fighting local enemies. There are a lot of insurgent groups fighting each other and our allies around the world that we don't consider to be terrorists. Most of these fights are not our problem, including this one. We give Israel $2 billion a year in military aid to deal with this. So Israel can handle Hezbollah. Israel can handle Syria. Israel can handle Iran. We only need to protect Israel from Russia and Russia has other problems and is adding to them.

It's beginning. The idea that much of the $100bn would be used domestically will be shown a joke. This is $14bn already with more to come. There was another article yesterday that quoted the British FM saying that Iran's new miss le was a potential violation. Does anyone really believe the sanctions will not be lifted or reimposed with Russia and China making billions from the deal?

And if this article is accurate and the Iranians have unilaterally change the terms of the treaty, what then? Does anyone really believe the genie will go back in the bottle?
Iran's parliament just approved the nuclear deal, but said inspectors would have only 'limited access' to military sites

But sanctions will "snap" back in place! They will give back the 150 billion dollars willingly. Nothing to see here. They are pragmatic Islamists that really value life and self preservation.

No it isn't. They are talking about $14 billion in potential arms sales to Iran IF the sanctions are lifted. They won't be lifted until the Iranians carry through with their promises. There has been an arms embargo for decades and Irans military is woefully obsolete. It has always been know that they would be re-arming and replacing 60's era equipment when the sanctions were lifted. This was part of the carrot that was offered. None of this will happen if they don't follow the agreement.

Iran ignored UN resolutions barring its test of a ballistic missile, just as Israel, ourselves, and most countries ignore UN resolutions that they do not countenance. But it does not violate the JCPOA.

They all signed off on it, so yes, everything depends on whether Iran honors the deal for any of this to happen. Not only Russia and China, but Britain France, Sweden, and our own arms companies want to sell arms to Iran after they get out of the nuclear weapons business.

They did not change the terms of the JCPOA! They just ignored a old UN resolution, which they have always done.

This has already been discussed. Stop believing Iranian propaganda! They are trying to save face and mollify their hard-liners. All of our own people have said that there is no way that "limited access" can prevent the AEIA inspectors from finding out what they need to at the nuclear sites. It just assures Iran that it will not allow the US to inspect any other military facility they desire. No country wants the perception to exist that they can't protect their own sovereignty.

Red, have you considered, that Iran might be looking for a US based propaganda specialist. It might be a good financial opportunity for you?

What we are doing with/to Russia by proxy is getting us into a fairly untenable situation. 35 days ago the US sent 250 TOW2 anti tank launchers and 1000 missiles to Syria. The weapons went to several factions including ISIL units. In the last 3 days the Russians have lost 25 tanks and 87 troops.

Iran and Russia have formed a new joint military command in Syria with Iran moving upwards a full division of Republican Guard units to work with the Russians.

Russia has spoken to both Israel & Turkey about creating security zones to get them on board. It seems Israel has apparently agreed.
