TM7 will never be the pure shut-down cornerback PP7 was. But as a playmaker, Mathieu is re-writing the definition.
speaking of Bennie Logan.....this guy really come into his own the last few weeks, watch him play, he has been playing VERY VERY well!!
He's back to being tm-7 and making plays without the hype and trash talk. The honeybadger got in his head. He's better just being himself tm7 and not the honeybadger. Maybe I am not describing what I mean just right. I just mean that tm is back to playing like he did aginst the ducks. Playing like he did before the hype. Making plays for the team with a little humility. You can be great without telling everyone how great you are. Just go out and play ball, being part of the team. Don't get caught up in the media hype. They love nothing more than to build a guy up as high as they can so they can revel in his fall.
It's a little sad that, because of the suspension, he is no longer discussed as a Heisman candidate. If not for that incident, I think he gets an invitation to the dance. He's a catalyst and if you take him out of the equation, we may not be undefeated. Isn't that what most voters discuss when selecting a candidate.....what that player means to the team and without whom they would not be in the running?
we knew he would do that against a smaller line like oregon, but he has really played well against sec O-lines.
I think he knows better now not getting wrapped up in all the Heisman talk, as it can distracting and doesn't help his play.
