I'm asking how you think he'll do against 6'4" 321 lb Ben Person and 6'8" 345 lb Steve Rehring, and center Jim Cordle 6" 302lb. If you think he'll "blow em up" every play, then you're opinion just became irrelevant to a realistic discussion of how the interior lines (which I think will decide this game)will play out in this game. Please no homer comments, I'm looking for realistic input from non crazy LSU who actually respect tOSU
He doesnt have to blow em up. He simply needs to catch their eye and guess what? There are ten others out there willing and waiting. Wit got David through the 40 point favorite Goliath...
Since when is tOSU the Favorite? If we can keep him catching our eye one on one, then my wildest dreams wouldn't come close to what the buckeyes will do offensively. Not going to happen. I expect tOSU to double team him with almost 650 lbs of beef trying and hopefully keeping him under control. that's not to disrespect the rest of the extremely talented LSU D, I was simply asking about the interior of the line, as I think this will have the biggest impact on the game. What does a guy have to do to get a straight football answer on this thread?:cuss:
You'll just have to sort through them, then cause don't think you'll come here and dictate what our posters can/cannot post much less telling a very respectful one his opinion is irrelevant- that could make me tell you to phuck off. I threw you a bone but you chose to engage him time and time again after he's told you what he thought. Dorsey's a bad azz like those boyz haven't seen though we know your Oline is very good; however, it's all conjecture at this point. You have any other questions about matchups? How about our offense against OSU's defense?
Dorsey will hold his own against anybody. He will make some plays and your guys will make some. I think Dorsey will make more. BTW, I have the upmost respect for tOSU and it's tradition.
You named three 3 players and I answered. In naming 3 players you failed to mention one on one. Next time I will try to ASSUME my response.
Nobody's trying to dictate anything. I asked a question about the matchup with Dorsey and the interior of the buckeye line, and haven't gotten a realistic football answer yet. I did not disrespect the poster, who I don't know, so if you want to tell me to phuck off, then so be it...my feelings won't be hurt:wink: . to say that the buckeyes haven't seen anyone as talented as dorsey is realistic, but let's not make him out to be a superhero. As for other matchups...particularly the OSU D v. the LSU offense...what do your O tackles look like? In the event that David Patterson plays, which it appears he will, I'm highly intrigued by the fact that he was supposed to be better than Gholston this year, who has been a beast. How is Flynn under pressure? Seems like he handles it fine for the most part. though patterson is more of a run stopper, Gholston has reeked havoc, particularly the last few games (like the lightbulb went off). I would have to say our biggest weakness defensively has been our interior D Line, though patterson's return would allow us to move Heyward inside, shoring up the interior a bit.
ten others waiting implies one on one, unless they changed the rules. I'm not trying to be combative here, just trying to get some info.
And I feel I have indirectly answered your question. No team can focus on Dorsey where as time and again when the did, blindsides are exposed. Thats the double side to defending big D. Ten others waiting does not imply one on one, it implies using a double/ tripple team on Dorsey alone is gonna leave a huge gap. Seen it once or twice throughout his brilliant career. As I said earlier, it is going to be a war and truly there is no favorite here. Personally I hope it is that way, entering with respect should define the final result. Us Tigers LOVE a great match up. Love to play in the big games.:milesmic:
