I think you may be confusing "Red rover" with "Round robin"- does your teacher know you're on her computer?
Round Rover is an elimination red rover tournament that the PAC 10 does on Sundays. The losing team goes home a loser with a sore chest.
The Big Ten flirted with Notre Dame a few years back about joining so that they could split into divisions and play a CCG. Not sure who nixed it, though i'm sure that Notre Dame didn't feel as though they needed the big ten, and i'm sure the big ten isn't thrilled about changing tradition. I would like to see any and all playoffs/CCG. I hate waiting 50+ days between games. nice to see the big ten going back to playing games after thanksgiving starting next year. On a side note...seems to me that Dorsey is the type of player that always gets low and seems to have a tremendous amount of strength. Does anyone think that might play to the buckeyes strength, as opposed to speedy? (although chasing down quarterbacks doesn't seem to be a problem). Just curious, as i haven't seen a ton of video on him, but seems like he's best when he disrupts, well, everything. I just think that hopefully the size and strength of the buckeye line will help to compensate a little. I think how much will depend on who gets and stays low. What about the rest of LSU's DLine? Looking forward to the game, isn't it here yet@@|#$@#@#? Good luck Tigers, but Geaux Bucks!!!!!
I wouldn't look at Dorseys 40 if you're trying to compare him. He's extremely quick and explosive.. I'm lazy and couldn't find his shuttle time (I'd imagine it's fairly good.) EDIT: With RJF/Pittman(Jackson) and a healthy Dorsey (assuming he's double teamed) i'm expecting 2 TE formations-- and LSU blitzing opposite of dorsey.
I'd not rely too heavily on 40 times anyway--especially for linemen. When is an OL or DL ever going to have to run 40 yards (with the hilarious example of Doug Datish on Ted Ginn's reverse for a TD against notre dame--find it on youtube, you won't be disappointed). Give me a 10-yard sprint time for the big fellas. Measure their burst speed. ...More importantly, how fast does a particular player play the game? OSU's D Coordinator, Jim Heacock, preaches simplified defensive schemes for young personnel, with the notion that if a player's thinking about his assignment, he's probably too late to get into the proper position to make the play. With the relative youth on OSU's side of the ball, this could be a major advantage for the Tigers. As far as Dorsey is concerned? He plays fast. He plays aggressive. That's all you need to know about him. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
Did anybody notice that the spread in Vegas is down to 4-from the 5 1/2-6 where it started. Guess people are betting on the Buckeyes. And take away the three points for home field, and it is almost a toss up. Wow. What do y'all think?? Does anybody care?? The title game has proven Vegas wrong year after year. I have to go Ohio State 26-16.
most know it's going to be close if past big LSU games this season (sans VT) are any indication. the argument from many down here is that this is the first time we'll be mostly healthy since the VT game. i still think i'm going to need heart medication. i have not come up with a score yet but i'm picking LSU to win close probably with an over/under in the high 50's.
