You just can't bring yourself to concede that Miles is a competent coach. Those BCS trophies would just "keep falling in his lap".

It would have nothing to do with the fact that he recruited and coached a magnificent team that wound up earning their way into the BCS Championship and beating the other team.

As much as I agree with most of what you are saying, Miles didn't recruit much of that team that won the BCS in 2007. Yes there was a good portion of the team were players he recruited, but there were still a very large amount of players recruited by Saban still on the team. The reason so many make the claim that the only reason we won was because of the players that Saban recruited and coached. Problem is he didn't really coach many of them. Most of them were frosh or not even signed on yet.

It's funny, but some of them are also contrived. The writer of the article provides a list of topics for them to include in their comments. But I think it actually makes them funnier.

Could be. I may have misread it, but wasn't the article written before the comments were made?

I don't think so, it would be weird to have 2 comment sections for one article. And those are priceless comments.

I only read it once as far as the article goes. I think he wrote it after the quotes were found and he was just saying, "be prepared, here is a list of what follows". Honestly, I could not care less when who what or how it came to be, that sh!t is freaking funny.
