I like how TS was half-empty with 10:00 remaining in the 4th. Not bringing up the game itself... but how spoiled are our fans?!

    Seriously. Support your effing team.

That really ticked me off. I was yelling at all of those fans, "You got something better to do?!? I know you don't so sit down!" I got a lot of dirty looks.

At that point, LSU was down by 14 and would almost certainly get two more posessions to try and even the score.

When Lee threw the INT for a TD, then it was OK to leave.

I heard on the radio that people weren't even fully seated until 25 (real time) minutes into the game. It's like the crowd wasn't into it from the start.

Yeah, I would have to say that was about the worst showing from Tiger fans that I've seen in a long time. I've never seen LSU fans give up so fast. It wasn't like it was the whole stadium, but it was a few thousand. As soon as we went down 21, they were hitting the exits. And that was in the
3rd quarter! We actually were really close to making a game of it well into the 4th quarter.

Even the people around me (who kept shouting to keep the faith and all this stuff) started to hit the exits just after the 4th started. You know none of these people have anything better to do once they leave. Maybe 1 out of every 10 does. What's the big rush? The least they could do is stay and complain about people that happen to stand up when an exciting play is happening. The truth is that many of our fans are spoiled. They just expect us to win all the time or dominate. Tiger Stadium was weak for most of the game. In their defense (or our defense), when we got extremely loud and Georgia was inside our 10, the D let Stafford throw the ball to some slow tight end I believe for like 50 yards. It's a little hard to get that loud when you're playing swiss cheese D. We did have a few Tiger Stadium moments, but overall it was lacking.

I do agree with Robidoux87 about people leaving after that last INT. At that point, everyone knew it was over.

And I agree that we've learned to play 2:30 games and not bit*h that much because we're a top program. But the atmosphere just ain't the same. I thought I was gonna fall asleep at halftime. It's hard getting up early, tailgating, etc. I think the 2:30 Georgia game in 2003 was the only day game that was every bit as good as a night game. It was so hyped and such a great game that it didn't matter. The atmosphere was awesome. I'm sure it helped that we won.

Still, when Bama rolls in, I expect a different kind of atmosphere. I'll be shocked if that ain't a crazy atmosphere. Plus it will turn dark in the second half of the game.

It didn't hurt that gameday set up on the PMac ramp back in '03. That was a lot of fun.

With me seating in the South End Zone I won't dare leave the stadium before its over. I sit on the front row in front of the visiting fans. It is tough when we are losing and the visiting fans are rubbing it in, but I think it giving up and they feel like they not only beat the Tigers but the Tiger fans, so I endure. Now I do leave my seat with about two minutes left to get on the other side of the visitor's dressing room because if you wait to the end of the game, they block the exit off until all players and coaches leave the field. I have to do that no matter who wins. But I go to the other side and finish the game there. It makes me mad when fans leave early win or lose. Now I know some people have certain circumstances that causes them to leave early but 50,000 to 60,000 all having circumstances? I THINK NOT!!!:dis:
