I've never understood the importance people place on the 18 to begin with. To me it seemed like an effort to generate the same positive vibe Ole Miss gets out of the 38-Chucky Mullen phenom. That was a legit attempt to honor someone who showed great courage under life-threatening adversity. All we have is a popular player handing his number to another player, who then became popular himself.
