Tiger Tap bought it so no one else could. He's sitting on it until Miles leaves for the NFL then comes back to coach Auburn then magically Miles will suck and he will run that website.

Scott Walker just put his taxpayers on the hook for a new arena for the Milwaukee Sucks while slashing funding for the university of Wisconsin. The owner of the Sucks donated a shit ton of money to his campaign too. This is what big dollars donated to campaign funds. While this rich asshole and his partners threw up a little dough on the stadium, the vast majority will be paid for by Wisconsinites. Still glad you didn't vote him out on the recall Wisconsin? He has said fuck you to teachers, firefighters, police, and public workers, and now throws up the middle finger to everyone in Wisconsin.

To be fair and here is my disclaimer again. Democrats have failed at stopping this from happen in blue states as well.

So let me pose the question, let's say it was the Saints, would you want to be on the hook for a new stadium if the Saints threatened to leave? Maybe so, I wouldnt, fuck em. Now how about the Pelicans?

Stadium deals are tough for mid market teams. What are you to do if the team threatens to leave and you've got nothing else? ML teams of all sports are these cities identities. There are too many other cities willing to pay.
Be honest this happens to both liberal and conservative mayors and governors. It's shitty but it is the way of major sports.
Remember when Benson threatened to leave after Katrina? It was agonizing for the city wasn't it?

You didn't read my whole post did you? There is a disclaimer for those who would attempt to say I didn't say democrats do this. I did say that.

I have no idea if the Saints leaving was agonizing for the city, it was right after Katrina, anything would have been agonizing. I damn sure wouldn't give a shit if the Saints left because taxpayers didn't want to pay for a new stadium and if I did, I wouldn't blame the Governor, I'd applaud the Governor for telling the billionaire owner to foot his own bill or go fuck himself and I'd blame the real culprit, the owner.

    I. Did read your post and understand it is characteristic to both parties.
My point was they are caught in a very difficult position. You may not care whether the Saints leave or the principle may be more important to you but can you honestly say you think the majority of people in the area feel the same? Do you think it wouldn't be political suicide to let a team go from any of these cities?
It's easy for you to say but you know you are among the few and the risk of that happening is nil.

I'm tired of politicians who don't do the right thing because it's political suicide. Why not let the taxpayers vote on it? If the majority wants to pay, then hey, it's a democracy, fine.

That's what they did here, we totally remade what at the time was the Ford Center, multi million dollar upgrade with I think a 2 or 3 cent tax and spread it out over a few years. In return we got an NBA team, big concerts, boost to the economy on multiple fronts. When you look objectively there is often something coming back your way.

You gotta lay off with the hatred of the rich or you will become this guy

You love to rant on about Scott Walker for some reason, he seems to be your number one target of hate this past month. Do you know why he got reelected in a blue state? He asked the teachers, firefighters, police and all of the public workers to contribute 6.8% of their salary towards their own pension along with the same percentage being paid by their employers. Do you have a pension? (not a 401K) The non public sector union employees were tired of footing the whole bill gifted in collective bargaining to gain votes from that sector. I pay the vast majority of my own retirement with a small percentage match. It was unsustainable in Wisconsin and the voters agreed. Three times in six years.
