Boy what a show this is gonna be in the next year and a half. Which whackadoo is gonna come out of this shit show?

I'm excited to watch them all implode and see how far each of them have to move to the right to get the nomination. This is going to be exciting.

    Is it just me?

That's all you're ever gonna get from the GOP.

But you know he is right. The Ted Cruz/Sarah Palin/Steve King wing of the Republican party will make the conversation in the Republican primaries veer so far to the right that it will be much like 2012 when the result is a right-wing pissing contest to see who can out-conservative the next guy or gal.

Frankly I would agree that it is a sad state of affairs because the truth is that Jeb Bush, Rand Paul and Mitt Romney are not diehard right-wingers imo who, allowed to run as themselves, might have a chance with moderate voters. But the purists will make sure no one gets to run as a sensible candidate.

who do you have in mind, Winston? Jeb Bush could win if he was allowed to run as a moderate, which he is imo. Mitt Romney could also win if he were allowed to do the same. The problem is the nuts make them tack so hard right during the primaries that they can't recover in the general. Plus, during the general the Republican candidate today must continue to pander to the far right or risk having some of them become disenfranchised and stay home on election day.

Jeb might have a chance if his last name wasn't Bush.

I don't think his name would hurt him as much as his party. Jeb is closer to his father than his brother.

It's sad the point flew over your head.

The nation is Left or Right. No middle ground.

Your post proves it for me.
