    - Arresting a woman because she had a miscarriage.
    - Waging war against Mickey Mouse because Mickey doesn't like their anti-LGBTQ laws
    - Voter suppression laws to discourage people of the wrong color from voting
    - Criminalizing textbooks that mention distasteful episodes of American history

And now THIS takes the cake:

A bill to allow parents to sue teachers for “usurping the fundamental right” of a parent in raising their children is one Arizona governor's signature away from becoming law. WTF. Why anybody would want to be a teacher in Arizona and Texas and Florida is beyond me, and those states are likely going to see a steady decline in educators.

Hey, look, there's a pregnant woman over there... better monitor all her activities, keep a spy on her, just in case she miscarries. If she does, bring her in for questioning.

Hey, look, a teacher in Arizona just advised a student that she can be anything she wants to be... sue her communist ass because that's a parent's job.

The GOP has NOTHING for average Americans except fear, fraud, and fascism. Look over there... they don't even have an official party platform, and those congressmen who have been vocal about their economic goals say they want to raise taxes for everybody except the very rich, while dismantling social safety nets such as social security and Medicare. It's all about white supremacy, controlled by a Big Brother government dictating your private life.

That spineless bunch of pissants, who in private communications were telling each other that trump was a despicable and moronic monster but in public refused to hold him accountable even for treason, first tried to turn our free press into "enemies of the people" and are now apparently doing the same thing to our teachers.

    That prosecutor is a Democrat.

Expecting a mega corporation to pay the same taxes as everyone else is not waging war.

Florida has passed no such law. The so called Don't Say Gay law is a whopping 7 pages long. Anyone who cares about facts can read it for themselves.

Seriously, how dishonest can you people get in your fraud and fascism? Yes, the DA in that district is a Democrat, but he refused to prosecute, and Texas Republicans are screaming that he failed in his duty to follow the law... a REPUBLICAN law.

Wow. You know damn well that Florida was very happy with its arrangement with that corporation until Disney voiced its opposition to that dumbass REPUBLICAN "don't say gay" bill.

    From the law:

“A school district may not encourage classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in primary grade levels or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students.”

"Don't Say Gay" is a pretty fitting description.

so you oppose this, which is to say you want discussion that by definition is not age-appropriate?

i dont think it hurts kids to teach them math and reading instead.

No such thing as "age-inappropriate" when it comes to mentioning gender identity. Also: "“classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur.” What does that even mean? What is instruction in gender identity? The bill doesn't say; it's purposely broad and vague to INTIMIDATE teachers from mentioning or recognizing anything LGBTQ. Tagging it the "don't say gay" bill is beyond appropriate.

Besides all that, this new law is very much akin to the Republican laws against teaching "critical race theory" in schools. It's all about Orwellian-style big government mind control, repainting history, making civil servants nothing but robotic parrots, and minimizing life experiences among students.

so you think simply teaching math and reading isnt enough, they need to be indoctrinated with gender theory? at what age? why do they need to learn this so young? why cant they just learn math and geography?

can you tell me a tenet of critical race theory that should be taught?

you and i were not taught critical race theory. have we suffered in our understanding of the world for lack of knowing critical race theory?

A more appropriate question for you is "what is critical race theory" because you damn sure don't know what it means.

Of course you weren't taught "it" in school. There are laws against "teaching it" in schools even though no problem about it exists. Just as I said, the laws are purposely broad and vague because it's all about intimidation. Even though a teacher wouldn't be teaching "critical race theory" he/she would risk legal trouble for even mentioning that slavery was evil. That's the point of these laws by white supremacists: deny history by intimidating.
