THE GOOD 1. Mettenberger is hot, hot, hot. 2. LSU can score enough points to win any game this season. 3. We may have the best receiver combo in the country. 4. No busted coverages. 5. All of the running backs looked good, despite a lack of holes to run through. 6. Bama is going to have its hands full with this LSU offense. 7. State is better than the score showed. Mullen is a good coach. This was an important win. 8. Somebody on offense should be wearing number 18. THE BAD 1. LSU can surrender enough points to lose any game this season. 2. LSU linebackers can't cover a pass. 3. Manziel will light us up if we can't apply any pressure. 4. It took three quarters to shake off the Georgia loss and play football. THE UGLY 1. The offensive line is aptly named. They finally showed up in the fourth quarter. 2. The defensive line is getting pushed around too much. 3. LSU has no pass rush. 4. Bama and A&M will score a shitload and a half of touchdowns on LSU's defense.
With the way this team misses tackles I think this actually helps. Don't give the slimy little bastard a reason to run around like damn fool and they might have a chance.
To parrot on your "bad" Lamin Barrow is horrible. I have never seen a guy as out of position on every play than he is. This guy makes DJ Welter look like Lawerence Taylor. He sucks a huge f'n whale dong on the option, he is terrible in coverage, if he ain't blitzing, he shouldn't even be on the field. Wow our linebackers are bad. The secondary may have given up a bunch tonight but there were in position most of the time to make plays. Barrow... nope.
Good stuff. I would also add the good being that we only surrendered 3 points and caused 2 turnovers in the 2nd half. Hard to believe that it was 28-26 at the half....
Add to the ugly category tackling and LB play. I haven't seen worse tackling in a pee wee game. It is very troubling to see runners gain 5 and more yards after being wrapped up. LB play except Kwon was poor. Welter is horrible. I keyed on him all night and he was knocked off his feet constantly and was slow to the ball. Barrow has moments where he is pretty good and others where he is lost and slow. On a positive note I think White and Robinson played well at corner. The TD over White was a obvious offensive PI. Also late in the game the newcomers on D Louis, Beckwith and others did tackle better.
My guess is because barrow is a Sr. hell I don't know. They better figure out something in a hurry because the meat and potatoes are on the way.
We had three plays with guys who got their asses beat, but we didn't have receivers left wide open for touchdowns like last week's confusion.
