Yeah, I've got a similar mindset. It's got to be really difficult for our guys to get all jacked-up about UAB or Kent St, especially with the way the offense is performing. I mean, hell, we go up by 4 TDs in the 2nd quarter, so of course, in their subconscious minds, the defenders aren't going to be nearly as bloodthirsty. We might see a totally different look from them in a close game. I also can't help but wonder how much Chief is going "vanilla" early on in the season and not being too aggressive with formations, blitzes, packages, etc. I read somewhere else where someone said that he's actually been putting in first-year guys very early in the game and rotating constantly just to evaluate our own guys in live game situations. I'm not really observant enough to notice that sort of thing, but perhaps it's true. Perhaps he isn't being overly creative or aggressive in an attempt to not tip his hand to UGA. He knew he didn't have to do anything special to get past our first 3 foes; he just had to put warm bodies in P&G on the field. Hell, he may even be conceding certain types of plays just to "bait" a UGA or an aTm into gameplanning for that. I really don't know, but I suppose it's possible. Ha! Now that is sound reasoning!
Dang! Isn't this thread for the good and the bad? I said some good, I said some bad, and I'm not the only one. Brutal. I'm excited, we're winning games stronger than we have in a while! Despite the flaws I'd dare say we're looking pretty dang awesome (mucho credit to Mettenbooger and Cameron).
do you really think that cam has shown all his plays,no way he is fine tuning this offense and will be very hard to beat when it gels., not saying we won't have close games or possibly lose but one thing we want be predictable.
