I can't disagree with those assessments. I used to be scared when the offense was on the field; now, the defense scares me. However, the defense scared me last year from the last drive of the Bama game through the bowl game. We had all-world, underperforming talent at that time. Now, we have inexperience, but will they eventually rise to the challenge? Will they improve, instead of regress, as the season unfolds?
These two have been an issue since "The Chief" got here. LSU's sacks have come on great plays by athletic linemen. The blitzes have been terrible, telegraphed, and are never checked out of.
I consider it bad as we're playing Kent and SEC is going to be much stouter. It's been a problem and is in my view. I saw Bama push aTm this weekend and don't feel confident in our ability to do the same.
