From "What comes Out of a Chinamen's Ass" in the 50's to " HA HA HA HA HA HA Asshole" in the 80's to "Suck that Tiger Dick, Bitch." Pretty solid progression. The administration should just let the band play. The student section would settle down if they didn't get the attention. At this point they have proven they can and will make a vulgar chant out of anything.
Glad to see the offense clicking, and improving from week to week. Mettenberger's arm is live, and the chemisty between him and the receivers is improving with every throw. We have not seen alot of the offense in the first two weeks. There is sure to be some TE and RB routes that will be used in the passing game as the year progresses. The tigers need Kadron Boone back in the game plan, seems like after Beckham Jr. and Landry there is a pretty good drop off. With Beckham returning kicks the chances of injury are increased. If that occurs, double teams on Landry could be difficult on the LSU offense. The offensive line is still struggling in the run game. There seems to be some inconsistancy with the amount of effort there. Chavis will have to compensate for a little less speed at the ends this season, but I am sure he will have plans to equal the playing field regardless. Lastly, I disagree with the way Hill was handed that touchdown. After other players (who were not suspended) drove down the field to get into the redzone, Hill gets trotted out to reap the reward. The same thing happened to Jordan Jefferson after his suspension. I just find that to be wrong.
Speaking of, how about ODB friggin' PALMING the opening kickoff? Of all the incredible things he did Saturday night, that might have been the most impressive. He didn't use his body or arm; it was strictly a one-handed catch. I mean, good grief, man...is the entire game of football just becoming that easy for you??
In a good natured way. Anyone who's honest knows he looks goofy when he runs, but hey, keep playing like he has so far and he can run any way he wants to.
We've joked about a secret Playbook. This year they might just have one. I think Cam is running what he wants to but not everything he has. I can't wait to see what they run against Ga. Bama and A&M.
I suggested in another thread that they playcalling the first 2 weeks has been a huge warning to the other DCs: "Do not stacking the friggin' box!"
