His family trademarked it even while he was still in high school. Wonder if they got the idea from Johnny Football
The pose was stupid for someone that hasn't done anything yet, but it really isn't that big of a deal. I definitely didn't like it and it sure seemed to go against everything I've read about him, but he is young. I was more disappointed in what looked like a lack of speed compared to his reported speed. Was shocked when he was run down from behind short of the goal line.
I thought the pose was a bitch move but the criticism and reaction has been way over the top. So he hasn't lit it up in his first two games but he's been far from a bust also. Ease up. He's a kid just removed from high school. Give him a chance to learn from his mistakes. From everything we've heard from those that know him, he is a good kid with a good head on his shoulders. One ill advised TD celebration doesn't change that.
I think most sane people all agree that it was stupid but also agree that he should be forgiven and it be forgotten, and there are far more egregious things that he could have done. Unfortunately the sane people involved in College Football are a small minority.
Got to love this one: Through two games, LSU opponents have completed only 17 of 52 passes (.327) with four interceptions and no TDs.
AS An LSU fan I've always know we can neve judge this team too much early in the season. Heck I remember seasons when we skunked what was supposed to be a very good OOC (Washington) team but then had a poor season. We will learn a lot about this team when we get into the meat of our schedule. MSU should be a competitive game but facing Auburn, Uf and BAMA will let us know what we've really got with all of the youngsters. How well they progress & mature will be what makes or breaks this team IMO.
