The development of all these young players is why I love CFB so much. Jennings will be starting his fourth game Saturday, hopefully he continues to improve. Harris has all world potential, the lb's are learning their positions, the dline know they need to work their ass off & get better, Hunter knows he needs to get off the ball quicker, Beckwith understand he has to learn to read defenses better and make the correct calls. We have more young players in position to make an impact than ever before & coaches who are coaching them up. I expect to see a lot of advances this week against a foe that has given many teams a fit. Who will be praising Saturday night?!
As much as it pains us we need to remember just how young this team is. There will definitely be some growing pains as they learn and improve. Hopefully they can learn from wins, but I wouldn't be even slightly surprised to see 2-3 losses. A couple positions have been surprisingly strong while a couple have been surprisingly weak. How quick players step up at the weaker positions will determine how successful the season will be.
I think the difference from years past is exactly cajdav1 said, they are being coached up. We have coaches in place that actually know how to get their guys to improve. It used to be so painful to watch the same mistakes being made game after game with no adjustment. As long as we see growth from game to game, we can stay excited about the future.
exactly what i said before the season, but i have been a bit surprised by the QB play, its better than I thought so far, very disappointed in the DL and OL.
