THE GOOD Hilliard and Fournette in the same backfield. Jennings and Cameron definitely have the long ball in the playbook. Les did not interfere. Leonard Fournette finally broke a big one. And he can catch. Malachi Dupree got to play and made a fabulous TD catch Travin Dural is looking like an All American out there Four true freshmen scored touchdowns, the future looks good. Harris can run. Harris can pass. Welter and Beckwith both had big sacks. Welter caused a fumble at the one. Darrell Williams can play this here game. Andy Dodd, the third center who did not expect to see the field this year, came in and did OK. Domingue can kickoff just as good as Hairston, maybe better Hunter had his second straight 7-tackle game. THE BAD Starters Ethan Pocic and Connor Neighbors went down with injuries against a cupcake team The nice new stadium scoreboards had no scores for the first half, lots of glitches So much for the hype about Leonard Fournette being grounded, humble, and a team player. Jennings second fumble in two games. Got to hold onto the ball. Still waiting for a tight end to emerge. Poor blocking and no receptions. THE UGLY I slipped on some ice in the aisle and skinned my knee. Not a lot of ugly in this game.
Southeast section of the Stadium? I saw a guy take a spill. Got an invite from a good friend to sit with him last night, he's a retired Army Colonel. As always Red, good insite. The part where a team improves the most from game one to game two came into play last night, some teams looking at scores, didnt.
I think les handled/will handle the heisman stuff. That was an exciting situation for someone who struggled last week and was the man in high school last year.
especially the part about the skinned knee "Harris can pass" Tom Luginbill was correct when he stated this Harris kid has the best arm since Matthew Stafford. Effortless arm strength. Perfect mechanics.
If we stay healthy we should make a run in two years. I hope our fans stay reasonable with this year's expectations. We're VERY talented and A LOT of depth but we're also young. We could well end up with 4 or 5 losses.
Yep, every year, we get the 4-5 loss season. Looking at other teams, I see many of those making that 4-5 range before us. But then again, what do I know?
For someone to think we only have 4 "Big games" is a disappointment, to me. Just curious, which 4 are you referring to? Miss St, Auburn, Florida, Bama, A&M, Arky, Ole Miss...
