This learning the play stuff is costing us games. It does not matter if you know the plays, if you cannot make them. So what if Jennings knows the calls, he cant hit a brick wall. Put a gamer out there. OR.....crazy idea, call plays your good players DO KNOW.
My 11 year old sat in the stands and called the plays based on the formations and he was rarely wrong. If he can do it then it should be child's play for opposing defenses and coaches. I haven't seen a game called so poorly by the LSU offensive staff since the 2011 championship game. It looked as if Miles walked across the field before the game and asked Mullins what would you like us to do? Add to that the fact that the offensive line sucks a$$ and the QB has no clue that there is more than a primary WR on the field and you have a recipe for disaster. To the defense or should we say busted fence? The front 7 is as weak as LSU has had in a long long time. The DL gets pushed around by power running teams. They can not get off blocks and get zero push up the middle on run and pass plays. The LBs are fast and athletic for the most part, but play undisciplined and tackle poorly. They are often out of position and bust plays. I'm not even going to get into the Welter at middle LB, that has been well covered. No pass rush and soft up the middle is about as bad as it gets. Our great defensive backfield will be wasted this year. I know Chavis likes light and fast defensive players, but if you can't even slow down the runs right up the middle not much else matters. I'd really like to see them recruit some beef in the middle. Overall just one of those nightmare games. The coaching sucked, the play sucked, even the nachos were stale. Still many games left and lots of talent to work with, but this coaching staff has major work to do just to avoid a disastrous season.
If he's worse he needs to transfer to Southeastern or LA Tech and free up a scholarship for a legitimate LB prospect!
