I think most of us "old" timers here agree with that. We endured the end of the Cholly Mac era, the unfulfilled promise that was Bo Rein, the dark days of Hallman. I wasn't alive for the 58 National Championship and for most of my life I figured LSU wouldn't win another one. Now my beloved Tigers have two during my time here on this planet. Cheering for LSU is part of my DNA and, I suspect, part of many of y'all's DNA too. Oh, I might watch other college football games but it's mostly to cheer against somebody. I"d sooner try to breathe water than pull for another school. But I think LSU's success over the past decade or so has drawn many of the flippers. Tigers are having a tough year this year and in a week or two they'll be dangling from the nutsack of whichever team is sitting on top of the polls. But not me. And not many of y'all either. We'll bitch and moan and fight among ourselves but at the end of the day, we're all Tigers. Oh, and @shane0911 I was going to gig you for using what I thought was the wrong middle name for CLM. I had it in my head that his middle name was Erwin. But I checked and damned if you're not right. Shit.
OK, so he threw Jordan Jefferson under the bus once, or so he tried. That was yet another exhibition of his own seemingly unsurpassable stupidity. We all remember the presser with him saying that he didn't say, or motion, for Jefferson to clock it, all while the footage of him doing just that, and quite emphatically so, played alongside his lying mouth. That's a real descriptor of Les Miles' character, and the complete lack thereof. So, Stacey, do you not agree that Les Miles treated Jordan Jefferson in an extremely favorable manner? It was clear that Les had what can only be compared to an insatiably feral itch to get Jefferson's packaged mediocrity back out onto the field. All while Lee, who at the time was playing with moderate success, was being put out to the dump. I don't like Les Miles. But, I wouldn't describe my dislike as having risen, or likely to rise, to the level of hatred. Still, as fellow forum members, you have every right to describe my objectivity towards Les Miles as hate. Though in doing so you are throwing reason to the wind. Others ought not think it odd that by participating in the aforementioned action you will have come to share with Les Miles the same ultimately repulsive trait.
see, you can have an enlightened discussion when you try even if the message is the same. Stick with that. its much more effective.
Are you sure that you did not mean to write "you cannot have an enlightened discussion even when you try."? Other than that, I don't particularly know how to take your post. If you can provide any clarity as to the intended meaning of your post that would be great. Thanks.
