It wasn't a slight at all and yes, I am aware that Fournette shares the workload. I'm not someone who rags on players here, there are plenty who do. The point I was making is that he was hyped to be the next instant Superstar and it didn't happen, that's all. I just listed my opinions and I didn't have a category called NOT ESPECIALLY GOOD OR BAD.
He was a Heisman finalist his freshman year. He is still the benchmark for a SEC Superstar running back. It's my opinion, chief. Take it or leave it. There is no right or wrong. I am the world's friggin' expert on my opinion.
I kind of agree with Red. After 3 games LF looks like a solid back. He does NOT look like Hershel Walker to me. We don't really need a Hershel. We've always had a stable of 2-3 backs that we've used. This is NOT an indictment on LF himself. More of an indictment on the hype that he came in with. Yes he looks good. But he doesn't look like Deion Sanders, or MJ or Bo Jackson, etc at least to this point.
