It is certainly about expectations. But also in performance. Williams has more touchdowns on fewer carries and almost as many yards per carry despite being lined up at fullback a lot. The point is not that Fournette is disappointing, but that Williams could be his peer.

Ricky Williams and Reggie Bush had already gotten their Heismans.

I never said that Fournette was a bad thing. You made that up. I said that Fournette was a big, strong, good-looking back but he's not Hershel Walker.

Good for you. I am commenting on the game on the field. And the hype off of it.

    Apples to oranges.

Further, 3 games in. 3 games.

    3 games

    One more time.

    3 games......

This is the same type of crap that went on in preseason. All these ridiculous comparisons before he has had a real chance.

I've got news for everyone, Hershel Walker wasn't who we know today until after he made records either. Hershel won the Heisman with a nice 4.9 ypc on 385 attempts.

Yep and the comparison to AP, AP was given the ball 339 times as a freshman.

When was the last time Les Miles gave that type of load to a RB?

Hell, even the games where J Hill was running all over teams, he still gave the ball to other RB's. No telling what numbers Hill could have produced. However, our RB's are usually injury free and have lots of gas left in the tank for the NFL.

And I explained to you already that the HYPE was the bad. I said specifically in post 1 that Fournette was a big, strong, good-looking back. Are you slow?

I also listed Fournette in the GOOD category. Did you miss that?

It was tongue in cheek. And thank goodness Fournette isn't going to get that many carries. He's got unrefined raw potential and we can afford to bring him along gradually.

My question is not that LF7 is good or bad, but that i believe we missed DW34 as being really special coming out of hs. I am truely excited about those two the field together.
