Mathieu was able to field punts the way he did because he had an instinctive want and desire for the ball. It didn't matter who had the ball, he wanted it in his hands and wanted to put it in the opposing teams end zone. Fearless and endlessly confident of his ability to make the right move. And if he makes the wrong one, having the confidence to get back up and assume the next time he touches it he will make the right move.
